where can i find a good free site to show me all about SEO and website promotion ?
im looking to start an online business and would like some free info on SEO and also website promotion, most of them say FREE then ask you for card details before they will help you. Thanks Peter

You can do a search and find articles on just about every topic concerning online business. You may not find everything in one place but it’s a good start.
SEO and website promotion are in the very competitive Internet marketing niche. There are many marketers competing, each specializing on a sub-niche. You can check out their blogs or sites but, as they are in this to make money, they keep the really meaty info in their products.

well to get started you need to own either a blog or website,you can starteoff by using a free blo spot or a wordpress to get you started you will need to learn the basic of editing this blog and also if you are going to using a website you will needing a webpage editors to design your website you can learn more on how to design a website using dreamweaver or sitespineer Pro from this site they have good tutorials at http://begineerswebsiteguide.com.
Before i go further in other to take this business serious you will be needing a domain name and a hosting account of your own to host your website because free is not always the best,you can also get a good hosting account and a domain from this site at http://tuc-webhost.com
Now this most important steps after you have done the above is to draw traffic to your site and the best way you can do is to allow the search enginees (yahoo,google,msn) to send you the traffic.
to do this you will need to write articles and post on ezine,goarticle,articlecity.post on forums ,comments possitively on other people blog…..relevant to your niches…..

There are a few free sites out there for your information and one of the better and easiest to follow ones out there is this http://www.squidoo.com/workfromhome4all its on squidoo, which by the way is another great way to start and build a free site (or lens as they call it) for free.
