What afe some good blogs to follow by creative writers?
I am in art school for illustration and am constantly needing to come up with visually interesting and creative subject matter to draw. I find that reading creative writing helps me to see the world differently and become inspired by the little things. I follow Adam Youngs blog (owl city) because the medaphors he uses give me intense visuals and really spark my imagination. Any other blogs or artists I should check out? Thanks ![]()

Well I’ve seen a few really awesome blogs, and as an artist myself- they’ve helped me get inspired.
Books of Adam:

Verbal Vomit:

Girl vs Geek:

Fashion Toast (her pictures are just gorgeous, as is she, and I find that inspiring at times)

And if that’s not working for you- Try Stumbleupon

^this will ‘stumble’ upon sites that will inspire you with beautiful and hilarious things.
Most of these are pretty humorous, but I find that incorporating humor adds another layer that people can relate to. It’s not just- "That’s an absolutely beautiful drawing." But it’s "That’s a beautiful drawing that made me piss myself laughing, I’m showing all my friends"
Humor isn’t always desired, but it’s nice to change it up.
