The best way to optomize pictures on the website?

My website www.sungolfer.com has a lot of pictures with most of them labelled. However, with search engine for pictures what is the best way to optimize. Should i have a link in the alt tag. Any thoughts please.

I don’t think you should (can?) place links in an alt tag. I would just use descriptive keywords, 5-6 total.
