I would like to maximize my traffic by SEO’ing my website and I would like to know what some professionals do when they SEO your website.

I have submitted my blog to all the search engines….what do I need to do to get more readers and traffic?

I did understand the basic concepst but I do not realize exactly how much is a thousand impressions. How are they measured? Also where can I find some statistics about how many impressions/clicks are normally done on a medium-high traffic site. I want to assess the price of posting such banners and I don’t know how many impressions mean "a lot" and how many mean "a little". Thanks!

Sometimes when I read about new websites and I check their traffic rankin on alexa, it looks like they had a HUGE surge in traffic only after 1 month. How do these websites do that? Do they just throw a ton of money at search engines?

I have signed up to create several sites to market my business and attract people to want to find out more – now I need to get those sites out on the internet to start getting "hits", and I am not sure where to start. I can’t afford thousands of dollars to drive traffic to the site. I notice it hasn’t had very many people visiting it although I have submitted articles to directories and signatures on forums.

What, in your opinion, would be the best way to get traffic to my blog?

It seems that buying traffic might be the answer, but I really don’t want to go down that road just yet.

I try to put fresh content on it every other day so the search engines can find it through keywords. Nothing yet.

My website is getting very few hits after being created more than a year ago. The site has been submitted to all the major search engines. I cannot afford any advertising or the fees to submit to the major directories. What can I do to increase traffic? Please keep in my mind that I have a very small budget at the moment. Thanks

There’s this website I want to promote more, we submitted it to google adsense or whatever it’s called, we’re waiting for it to get more traffic to make business cards, we use it in signatures for email, what else can we do? We submitted it to search engines too..can you guys promote it for me or make some suggestions to promote it besides what I already mentioned? I appreciate any help I can get.
