What is the best source for finding the most highly-rated science blogs?

I’m doing a survey of people who read and subscribe to science blogs, and part of it entails visiting top-rated science blogs in order to contact these people (with the moderator’s permission, of course).

I Googled it, but I found many different sources that list different blogs. I’m not sure which one is the best source.

My list can also include blogs in other languages, and not just English.

I love to sew and have found some great blogs that have wonderful tutorials and patterns for girls dresses, skirts, etc and I love them but I was wondering if anyone knows of sites for boys clothes; not baby boys for like tween/teen. The girl tutorials are very modern, funky, and boutique-ish, I was looking for the same type trendy stuff for boys, like skater, punk, surfer, etc.

Local Marketing, non-etailer, ideas for expanding business?

I am starting a Hi Def tvs and accessories business. We have had a local photo store for years, now we’re getting into the HD market. Our niche: internet prices, savvy consulting, delivery, setup, installtion all at lowest prices.
We are already using craigslist. What about cost/benefit of: local radio ads?, promotions through other local retailers- and which kind?, mailings?, we do have a limited website currently, but we sell local only- so how to SEO for that?
We are also Ebay powersellers/drop-off site and use Constant Contact to email blast our existing local customers with deals.
Other ideas on product line and pricing would be helpful.

Is it considered "bad practice" to put a sidebar of a huge site in an iframe?

I am currently working on a huge html site.. almost 100 pages. The client wants to have a sidebar that may be updated with special promotions, sales, etc. I know for SEO purposes, it would be best to have the sidebar code on each page, but to be honest, the thought of doing a find-replace to update the text on a site that huge scares me.

Would it be awful if I put the sidebar in an iframe, so that I would only have to change it once and it would update globally? I’m not familiar with php or asp, so I need an html solution. Thanks in advance!

Change url extension (HTML to PHP) without hurting Google ranking.?

Hello,

I created a website over a year ago, during which I have managed to get a decent ranking on google for quite a few keywords.

The site is mainly made of HTML files so the URLs mostly end with .html. However, in order to expand it’s functionality I’m starting to use PHP but in order to do so on existing pages I need to change them from example.html to example.php…

This creates two problems:

1. Links currently on Google will lead no where.
2. The new PHP pages will not be listed on Google and I will have to work for rankings again.

I’ve read that 301 and 302 redirects are bad for Google rankings so I won’t be using either.

So the question is:

Is there a way in which I can change the file extension without causing either of the above mentioned problems?
Or is there a way for me to add some PHP code into the HTML files and have them function properly?

Should i delete my pages form Google index…?

Hi,
I have some duplicate content pages on my site, which are indexed by Google and ranking well. example: www.mysite.com/sitemap and www.mysite.com/120.html. but bought of them gives the same content. i have about 10 more pages like this.. !

What should i do, should i delete the pages form my site or do some think els… please help.
