Will google dominates the search market forever?

I have a great website, but no one knows it exists. I need to optimize it for the search engines, and I would like to get it on an affiliate network so I can get referrals. Does anyone know a trust- worthy company that can help me with this? I have been working with a company since last February, that is supposed to be doing this for me, but they have dropped the ball in a big way. I paid them a lot of money up front, and have yet to see any work done on this. I’ am also wondering if anyone knows the average price range for something like this? I believe I grossly over paid… Any advice? Thanks.
I have submitted my blog to all the search engines….what do I need to do to get more readers and traffic?
Sometimes when I read about new websites and I check their traffic rankin on alexa, it looks like they had a HUGE surge in traffic only after 1 month. How do these websites do that? Do they just throw a ton of money at search engines?
1) It is more convenient to search for area businesses on a local web site directory than on a search engine when the right bundle of services are offered to the public.
2) Most business owners are not online savy. Local site owners can work directly with area businesses and help them find what the public is looking for from area businesses.
3) A local web site directory can create uniformity for online sites, and it is easy to remember area businesses under one site.
4) Search engines generate most of its traffic by offering free services to the public, and big businesses will spend as much 0,000 per day to promote their business on these sites. Area businesses can offer services the public will use and promote a local web site directory through word of mouth advertising. In exchange for free advertising, online merchants can generate income by promoting their sites on these pages.
I know that link exchanges help a website’s ranking in search engines like Google, but does a banner exchange do the same? Because isn’t a link to your website technically on a different website, counting as a linkback? Or, because the banners are constantly rotated with other websites’ banners, it doesn’t count?
I have had my blog: http://www.gary-packer.com for several weeks now.
I notice it hasn’t had very many people visiting it although I have submitted articles to directories and signatures on forums.
What, in your opinion, would be the best way to get traffic to my blog?
It seems that buying traffic might be the answer, but I really don’t want to go down that road just yet.
I try to put fresh content on it every other day so the search engines can find it through keywords. Nothing yet.
I need some ideas and suggestions for driving traffic to a brand new website that targets mainly teen and young girls ages 12-25. I have greated a google adwords account so I need some suggestions besides submitting my site to search engines and paying for ads… because I’ve already done both.
I have a blog called Bryt on Gov (http://brytongov.blogspot.com/). I want to get some traffic on it, and want it to be easily found. If I search for it in search engines, it doesn’t come up. How can I get it to come up in the results when it is searched for?
I can obviously tell if my site is on the first page or five of the search engines, but what if it’s on page 35? How can I ever find it?
