companies like yahoo, myspace. I mean are really the only people paying the people who are trying to convince us we are the "1,000,000 visitor CLICK HERE" its just so annoying. WHY?
I recently made a website for someone and need to do some simple search engine optimisation. I’ve been a web editor for a big radio station for a while now but I’ve never had to do SEO before. Basically they just need to be able to find their site in google and yahoo… There is a "submit to search engine" thing on the web hosts site too.
I am planning a dinner party. I have a few friends that do not eat meat. Is it offensive to vegans and vegitarians to be at a dinner party where many of the dishes have meat or meat products? I am serving alot of veggie dishes as well.. I just do not want to offend anyone so that everyone has a good time.
Any thoughts?

For a marketing project, I’m supposed to generate ideas for a marketing promotion for an online retailer. They want to know exactly how many people buy their products online strictly because of the promotion they’re doing.
I thought of the obvious "discount code" to prove they bought the product through the promotion. Any other ideas??
I did some SEO work to my website, and it appeared top-rank in Yahoo search on all keywords. I recently checked them, and now the site is nowehere to be found, except on one keyword.
The site is for a local business, with "in (city)" at the end of each keyword. Checking the keywords and descriptions of the other sites, mine is the most relevant of the search terms.
I have e-mailed Yahoo customer support, but they haven’t responded yet. Could have a competing business done something fraudulent and sneaky to get my website "unindexed"? Anyone know the solution?
P.S. I have tried the same SEO tactics, and it still is nowhere to be found.
What exactly are the differences? I don’t use the Yahoo toolbar as it is, and I’m not really interested in the "optimized" version if that’s all it gives me.

Ok, so google will put you on the top of their SL if you pay for links back to your site. It is the ultimate SEO forbidden fruit. But what about directory listings? Aren’t they a form of paid links? I have a brand new site and I think one of the best ways to get traget traffic is to get listed on as many directories as possible. Most of these directories charge you for listing. I just paid yahoo 0, and botw.org to list my site in the category that was most relavant for my site. Both Yahoo and botw.org list sites on their directories without a "rel=nofollow" tag, and I can’t make them include this tag on their link to my site. Did I just coming search engine suicide?
I WILL purchase an up to date book or visit a FREE UP TO DATE site. I’m not looking for a member ship somewhere or pay for an "info-mercial" book.
