Hey Guys,
I am planning to redesign my website ( 1100+ Pages) which is doing good on search engines and is getting good traffic. My only concern is if i do that keeping in mind all the link placement and everything. Still can rank fall on google??

I thought one solution for this let me know if that will work –

Will launch new page with same domain name but with different extension say .info and with new title, keywords and description in meta tags plus will modify on page content too except dynamic part of the site. Once that new page is crawled by google will replace old one with new one on main hosting.. Hows it sounding and yes I did lot of optimization for current page..
So please suggest me best possible way of gaining more rank with new page rather thn loosing it

Any agents have Feedback on Point2 Websites?

I use Point2 as a tool to recruit agents..what an awesome idea to be able to give away fully customizable websites for FREE to all my agents. We recently interviewed with a SEO specialist and he said we couldn’t get ranking with a Point2 site..I raised my hand and said "Excuse me but I have gotten my page ranking to number 4 on Google with my Point2 website" and he said it was all luck. It was a lot of work..not luck. I think he was trying to sell his services. I’m wondering what your feedback is with your Point2 sites? Thanks!
Point2 allows us our own access to meta Tags, Keywords, Titles, Headers, Keyword phrases, etc. as well! And they even have tutorials on SEO!

When will Yahoo and Google list my sites in their main search index?

1.) My x5 sites all link to each other (or have links to go to each other)
2.) I had all my sites authenticated by Yahoo with Feeds (i.e. Site Explorer)
3.) I setup all my pages on a sitemap with Google (feeds included)
4.) I am allowing robots, spiders and crawlers into my sites via meta tags and a robots.txt file
5.) and I setup my keywords similar to other high ranking search engines

WHEN WILL YAHOO & GOOGLE LIST MY SITES?
HOW LONG DOES THIS TAKE?
WHEN DO THEY REFRESH OR UPDATE THEIR INDEX DATABASE?
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THE TIMEFRAME WHEN THIS WILL HAPPEN?

It’s been about one month now and I’m still waiting.
Anyone have any thoughts?

are meta tags important?

i have just create my first website and i have a bit of an idea of what meta tags are. but are they important i mean i have 60+ page website do i have to insert meta tags to every page. if so is there software or a website which i can paste an article and it creates the meta tags automatically or is this just wishful thinking lol. another question if i have quality content but no meta tags can i still get on google’s first page rank

got a quick question on SEO?

Can anyone enlighten me as to why some low ranking page rank sites are listed in top 10 on google for keywords, compared to other sites with higher page rank using the same keywords and tons of back links are further down on google listing.

Most of these sites contain few back links, however they do contain keywords in headers, meta tags, title tags, on page.

Would this be enough to list them in top 10 on Google above high ranking sites with tons of back links and high page rank?

Any idea’s, would it simply be down to the use of keywords in appropriate places which is giving this page rank high up on top 10 on Google?

Allot of the higher page ranks are not using headers, title tags and meta tags, well some are but not at the beginning of title tags, meta tags, on page, etc. Or rather the use of them in some cases but not as much as lower ranking page rank sites listed higher in Google.

Google search engine showing results?

Hello

I submitted my website to google a week ago.
It appears on the top when I search for the restaurant name and its location.
But when I search for just the restaurant name, it doesn’t even show up.
Could this be because google is still in process? or is this done?

On seocentro.com, it shows excellent match for content and meta tags, but doesn’t show page rank.

Can someone give me an advise, please?

Also, if I make a modification on a page, the robot catches it automatically, right?
And how long does it take to affect the result?

Strange thing with Google ranking?

There’s this site for a local business. At first, the site was ranked at the very very top of Google, very keyword-dense meta tags. Then the site disappeared, but the sitemap page is still indexed and shows in the top 10 on Google for keywords.

Was this site banned by Google just because of keyword-dense meta tags? That’s the entire point of SEO! How do I get this site’s home page back on Google’s top 10?

Travel website promotion and plan?

I have been building a travel website together with my girlfriend over the past few months, and it is finally taking shape now. We have recently signed a "contract" for an affiliate program, and receive a lot of help in the form of advice.

I have been very preoccupied with SEO over the past days. I find good keywords via Google and constantly give my site checkups to see how my meta tags are scored. Our website has been added to all large search engines, and we are working hard to add more and more information every day. We also try to add our website to link directories to get our link on as many websites as possible.

Now, what would be a smart way to promote from here? I have been asked to write an article about my website for my universities magazine, so that’s a first thing. Please tell me what you think of our website, and I would really appreciate some advice on promotion options!
