Where should I place Google's verification meta tag with a non-html based & simple site builder like Webs.com?

I used an online site building editor called Webs.com to build a website and it’s already indexed in Google search engine, but its status remains unverified, so I can’t check ranking stats and all that. I registered for a Google Webmasters account and tried to verify the site using either of the 2 methods suggested by Google (uploading an html file to my site, which I did but it returned a 404 File Not Found error). I then tried the ‘meta-tag’ method, where I’m supposed to copy/ paste a given code on a specific place on my site’s homepage and I quote where it’s supposed to go:

" It should go in the section, before the first section".

Now how can I do this with a site builder like webs where nothing on the page says or . How can I tell where on the page to place the tag correctly? A blank page on an editor like Webs.com is exactly that, a blank page, and I just write without having to worry about html coding, just like an MS Word document. Any advice?

Backlink Building: Comment footprints?

Hey All,
Just thought i share some methods for finding back links via comments. Ive been having a lot of success by googling (using the intext feature) common footprints for comments that are more likely to follow your links.

1.First google : "keyword" intext:"Allowed HTML tags: "
2.Check the page rank & if see if it nofollows links.
3.Test it out – you might get a couple of decent high page rank links (try and keep it subtle though )

Common Patterns

Suggests welcomed here but i’ve had success with the following:

intext:"Allowed HTML tags: " (this one is very usefull)
intext:"by. oggix.com" (not very good quality and in iframes so worthless really )
intext:"Login or register to post comments"
intext:"URL" + "comment"
intext:"Add New Comment"
intext:"leave a response"
intext:"website"

Any other good ones out there?

What is difference between directory links & Website links?

We are using directory submission for Higher Position in the Search Engine Results and link building for increase Page Rank (PR).

But Using same process for uploading links ( like HTML tags “< a href=” http://www.sbwebx.com ” > SEO Company “ )
So, if same process using uploading links, then also google crawler algorithm is same for both.
IF I am right, then please explain difference between directory links & Website links!!

I saw a site that ranked #1 on google but there was no optimiz. done it that 2 for such a comp. keyword HOW?

When i searched google.com for Mortgage Broker Asheville and i found that www.aerialonemtg.com ranked #1 Well it would be good optimization but when I did some research on it i found that-
1) The internal link structure was really poor.
2) First the title was so long but you said that the title should be short so that Google gives more wieghtage to each keyword.
3) IT didn’t use

tags at all.
4) It had a PR of 0.15 the lowest possible.
5) It didn’t have any alt tags.
6) When I searched google for "link:http://www.aerialonemtg.com/" I saw that it had no sites linking to it.
7) They have not highlighted the main keyword anywhere in the content.

The On page and off page optimization factors appear to be 0 BUT THEN HOW DID THEY RANK SO WELL THAT #1.
For such a competitive keyword.
How is this possible?
Would you please clarify?
Pls. answer this question.

How can I stop Web Form Spammers – Guest book spammers?

Background of the problem:

I have a contact form in my web site using cgi script. It is in freeservers and the URL is, http://jyotisha.00it.com/Contact.htm.
Once a visiter fills and press the submit button I get an email.

Starting from recently, guestbook spammers who are after google page ranks, start filling it with absolute crap and links to their sites. So instead of genuine quaries, daily I get 30 to 40 such emails which is waste of my time and a nusence. I tried to put a control in cgi script but only succeded in posting a radio button. I can not change the Page Name as I built the site manually over the time and there are about 100 pages whch mey need changing of page link.

My Question is: How can I write a control in CGI script ? so I can put a password check ?

First of all, please excuse me for my bad English.
After 3 months i understand that i should receive a page rank from google.com… and now that i have 3 months i have received PR0, and as far as i know this is only for banned sites.
i haven’t done anything wrong like spamming or aggressive advertising, my question is: it’s normal to receive PR0? it’s not just for banned sites?
