I have been with a company for over a year and just had a situation where I applied for an internal promotion but the peer that won out was a "favorite" of supervisors, has no experience in that position, is protected (can’t do no wrong) and has anger issues. I was a "perfect" fit for that job, but just can’t win em’ all….. That instance of favoritism and office politics led me to actively seek alternative employment with another firm. I just received a call from my recruiter that they want to hire me and that the benefits/pay is double what I’m making now.
My immediate supervisor is on two week vacation until the 1st week of the year. Our director and office manager is here on site, but who should I address the letter of resignation to? I think my boss is on internal e-mail and think I should just send it to her with cc’s to the others. How and when should I break the news to the rest of the team too? They have the right to know immediately too. Thanks!

So, I got 2 job offers both sort of outside my field. I am a project manager that works with clients and builds their websites. One of the offers was in search engine marketing (dealing with clients) and one was managing the development of web sites internally (no dealing with clients). I chose the first one even though there was a 30% cut in pay and still was working with clients. I thought it had the a better long term outlook . I’m starting to regret this decision because of the large decrease in pay and the large number of people that currently do Search Engine Marketing. It seems like everyone and their brother does it. Two questions:
a) How bad is it to ask for a job back after you rejected it? (I rejected it very nicely and they knew the tough decision which I had)
b) Should I even try to get it back and thus turn down my acceptance on the other one?

Do you think that Hubpages can be utilized for easy and quick Search Engine Optimization?
recently I’ve ordered a web2.0 linkwheel for promoting my website (meefu) and for building a few backlinks. I was also planning to make an ebook (explaining monetizing youtube). So I requested the service provider to write anything about making money and build links for me. The job went good and I got 6 different pages in web2.0 properties. But to my surprise just with two days the page which I’ve ordered got on 2nd page for a high paying keyword. I’m impressed with the power of hubpages. I think for very low search volume keywords we can rank pretty easily with hubpages.

Do you have any idea why this happened so easily and quickly?
I am disabled and can not work more than 20 hours a week at a real job. I was wondering if anyone knew a proven way to make money online that isn’t ebay, affiliate programs, taking surveys, and is also free? I have tried all of the above and got scammed several times. Any suggestions?
