My daughter applied for the job yesterday and went to a site to work with some of the people today. She LOVED it !!! Where can I refer her to get more infoprmation so she can be prepared for the interview….if she gets one. She already researched the company, locations, etc.

I knew that would get your attention. My boss found my old porn site the other day, and now I’m afraid I might get fired. I don’t think this is my fault because I was only 16 at the time and needed the money and my dad kept me high on Ecstasy the whole time. I feel like this is partially Title IX’s fault because if I were a woman I would probably get a promotion, but instead I might lose my job. What should I do?

How do I ask my boss about giving me the promotion without coming across like I am slapping him in the face?

A little background on the situation: I have been a contract security officer for just about 4 years now and I have worked with 3 companies in this field. I have been a supervisor before at another company and have been begged not to leave by almost every site I have worked for.
I was hired by my current company back in March and when they placed me at the site that I am currently at my boss told me it was with every intention of giving me the supervisor job. Ever since day 1 my boss has relied on me to "shake things up" here. The whole place was in a shambles and the old supervisor had been demoted and about 3 weeks after I came on board he was removed. My boss has been asking me to keep a close eye on everything here and to help everyone get the job done better. So far things have been going smoothly. We have improved quite a bit since I have been here, that came straight from the client that I work for, and he is much happier with the company.

The issue: This past week and a half my probationary period ended and since then my boss has given me so much work that I know is the supervisor’s job and not mine being a regular officer still. I don’t know how to approach him and talk with him about giving me the lead position. The other guards here don’t really give a flying f**k about what I or my boss has to say about anything. But they do respect the authority and know that they have to go with it or they are fired. Which has been proven about 3 times in the past 2 months. It has been an uphill battle trying to get everything done around here and I need help finding the right words and the right way to come across to him. I don’t want to keep getting shafted by doing all the extras that the supervisor would usually do without getting the pay.
I want to say now I am not in it for the money but more for the recognition and the authority to be able to get the job done right. I continue to work in security because I pride myself in my work and want to continue improving in this field. One day I hope to be able to make account manager but if I keep getting blocked I know I won’t get anywhere. Please help me.

Oh and one more thing, if you’re going to be rude, mean or crude about this go away and keep your opinions to yourself.

How do I start writing blogs?

I need to earn a little extra money and I am a very opinionated person so I feel like writing blogs would be a good start to making some extra cash. I am a full time college student and I also have a hour a week job but I am still having problems making ends meet. Thanks for any help!

SEO: My webmaster sucks; he says two body tags will be horrible for page ranking, T/F?

Okay so here’s the deal if you’ve seen any of my other questions they are in regards to how much my webmaster sucks at life and his job. So he quotes me 2 hours to add a news article that is already written and has pictures and some interlinking (like 5 links), that when he is done posting looks like something my dog vomited up and then bolded on wordpress.

So I do it up in wordpress and then copy over the html the only problem is that now there are two tags…is this bad in any way? Will google rape me on page ranking for having two body tags?

When searching for a job online, is it better to initially call person advertising the job or just send resume

If they have a phone number posted, and is it bad to send your resume w/o having a prior appointment? I just read in some Get a Job book about how it’s presumptous to email your resume! WHat?! How else are they supposed to know who you are etc….
