I’m building a website and I have rollovers built into some parts of my page… but I don’t see why I need to have all of the slices saved as GIF files, which is what ImageReady CS2 is doing when I do an optimized save as HTML & images (they look sort of crummy.) is there a solution to this?
I created a website in PSD and it optimized it for the web and laid it out in tables. I’m trying to make this page look seamless so I want to set the images as backgrounds within the table so I can overlay them with highlightable text so search engines will pick it up. I can’t seem to figure it out, so any help or nudge in the right direction would be great

i would kill to look like her.. =( i don’t see any flaws in her at all and she is all natural.
Her 2 symmetrical moles makes her look like she has whiskers and it adds to her beauty. their placement are so adorable.

I am currently using Dreamweaver CS3. On my website I have a photogallery page. I have smaller images (160X160 pixels) on the page but when clicked on they open to the larger file. Because I have so many photos on the page they are taking forever to download. When I optimize useing the tool in Dreamweaver it helps however it effects the link image. Is there a way to speed the download process with out changing the actual image? Or do I have to have the image saved as two files?
I’ve put the images into dreamweaver by optimizing them in Fireworks and then dragging them into the Dreamweaver file, is this anything to do with do you think?
I want to host my images on image hosting sites like Flickr so as to save in bandwidth. But would these outbound links for my basic site makeup make search engines lower my ranking?
I want to have a website where people can view my photography, but I’d also like it to be watermarked so that people can’t steal my images. I don’t want to pay for the website, but can you get your own domain for free??
my client’s website’s home page takes about 10 secs to load up. not much graphics, a few images, and 10 js files. is there any way to speed up the loading time? at least to bring it back to 6~7 secs. Any tips and tricks?
I know that Meta tags are pretty much worthless anymore, and engines crawl for content, but my site has lots of images and not lots of text. What should i focus on to get it ranked better so I can increase traffic?
When an image is ‘viewed’ it could be in the form of a banner ad and such. Would it actually HELP search rankings if this traffic was channeled to the targeted site’s server versus other areas or does it simply make NO difference (except that of a bandwidth issue). Certain images can get 30,000 IMPRESSIONS (i.e. www.SITE.com/image.gif) or more per day. That seems like all those requests could do SOMETHING for rankings, right?
