i have a website running at the moment, pretty basic online shop sort of thing, but its at #2 on google which is what gets all the sales at the moment. now i have setup a ZenCart website that will ultimatly replace the current one but we are worried about losing the postion on google with the top keywords what would be the best thing to do to smoothly change over the site and not lose the ranking?
Will be hard choosing a best answer as all have helped, i do feel more confident now about making the swap, i know enough about websites and domains that i can change the name servers to the new hosting to make it seamless. just not too good with SEO

When I first got this page, I could enter the CAPTCHA and it would redirect me to the page I was looking for. Now after a few days, it just keeps sending a different CAPTCHA and continues to block me out constantly.
I have Norton 360 and scanned my entire computer twice, and nothing came up.
Every other site works, just not google.
My internet is working properly
I deleted all my cookies, browsing history, i-net temp. files ETC.
I’ve done everything and don’t know how to solve this problem.
I’ve been driving myself crazy and looked up all over the internet on what exactly is going on. So far, everyone is saying to do everything I’ve already done.
Someone in school today told me that the page containing the CAPTCHA is actually the virus/spyware blocking me from google. Is that really it?
If so, should I take my computer to staples and let them fix it ?(they put Norton 360 on my computer in the first place).

ALSO it seems to be common in Hughesnet users? I use hughesnet.

If it doesnt work I found out that using Google beta works perfectly fine.

If I am knowledgeable in how to build a successful website or get an existing website optimized and ranked well in Google for targeted search terms, what is the best way to approach small businesses with my services?

I used an online site building editor called Webs.com to build a website and it’s already indexed in Google search engine, but its status remains unverified, so I can’t check ranking stats and all that. I registered for a Google Webmasters account and tried to verify the site using either of the 2 methods suggested by Google (uploading an html file to my site, which I did but it returned a 404 File Not Found error). I then tried the ‘meta-tag’ method, where I’m supposed to copy/ paste a given code on a specific place on my site’s homepage and I quote where it’s supposed to go:

" It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section".

Now how can I do this with a site builder like webs where nothing on the page says <head> or <body>. How can I tell where on the page to place the tag correctly? A blank page on an editor like Webs.com is exactly that, a blank page, and I just write without having to worry about html coding, just like an MS Word document. Any advice?
