My question is – which is better for SEO, e.g. natureequity.com ir naturequity.com ? I noticed that Google finds both keywords in both cases but I am not sure of their value to Google. Would it be worse to share a letter or even a syllable or even better since it has less characters than the first, regular domain name? Thank you!
How important is the relevancy of your URL in SEO? For instance if I own a flower shop in NYC. Is it important to have NYCflowers.com instead of GregsTulips.com? How much consideration if any do search engines take in the URL when deciding placement?
Is it good to buy keyword variations of my domain name? Will that hurt my standings in search? I am considering buying other names but am not sure if this will hurt or help me. Thanks so much..
Example: If I register the domain name www.hongkonghotels.com, will my website show up in the top ten if a user searches on the keywords "hong kong hotels"? (This is just an example, I do not own that url.)
Or are there other tricks that websites with different urls could use to achieve a much higher page ranking?

I found a site http://www.googletrend.info/ which does not seem to be finished… i just came across it while looking for a domain name. The site talks about top internet and search engine searches being cash grabs. They claim making money from search trends is in a "seemingly immediate basis" <– do you believe in this quote? I did add one search trend to my blog and found to receive traffic, so they are correct on grabbing that search engine traffic, however, is grabbing thousands of visitors in a few days a real possibilty?
I don’t want to spend all my time and effort into adding search trends to get nothing back from it! I added cervical septet and have recently added bird girl ( http://www.googletrend.info/2007/jul/16-mon/birdgirl.php ), Nina Dobrev ( http://www.googletrend.info/2007/jul/10-tue/nina-dobrev.php ), and felicitous ( http://www.googletrend.info/2007/aug/11-sat/felicitous.php ) as the competition for all 3 are low.
How long for my site to be noticed for these ?
My site – poetrystuff.net – features amongst other ‘ stuff’ sites of > 200 results. I want the site to be listed when searches for ‘poetry’ are undertaken. I have changed everything in the page properties for each page including my home page which mentions ‘stuff’ to just ‘poetry’ although I want to hold onto my domain name. I have placed ‘poetry’ everywhere which I think is appropraite and not ‘poetrystuff’ which I want the engines to avoid. I have submitted links to similar sites. A previous answer said I’d have to wait seven months for the site to transfer. Can I make a manual request to transfer to the ‘poetry’ listings? If so, how? More advice please and please see my site for my plight. I have been building what I believe to be quality content. I’d like to carry advertising but not whilst I can’t get onto page 1 of ‘poetry listings!!! Many thanks, themuse
I have one main hosted domain name and then I own about 4 other domain names that all point back to the hosted domain name. When I place backlinks, should they be with the main hosted domain name or the domain names that forward to that site? What is more effective? Does it matter? I am just looking to optimize my rankings for the local area of my business – a chiropractic office. I don’t want to do linkfarms or anything like that. Any advice is appreciated…
I have a website that sells guides on how to make money online. I dont get much traffic, only about 10 people a day. The domain name itself and website are about 4 months old. How can I use this page rank to my advantage? I mean it obviously doesnt equal traffic because my traffic has not increased much since it moved up in the ranks, so anyone know how I can take advantage of this page rank and possibly make money off it?
(Yeah I know, I sell money making guides but Im asking others how to make money from this, go figure)

But once We found the unusuall thing from google, we just book a domain and put in our hosting but website was empty nuthing was in it but it suddenly comes in google first page. but when we make a website for this domain and put in that domain then we cant found the same domain in google Top 100!

I want my site ‘Poetrystuff.net’ to feature on the searched listings for ‘Poetry’ and not in the listings for ‘Poetrystuff’ . I want to keep my domain name but to have the engines and spiders pick it up for insertion under ‘Poetry’ listings where the potential for hits is far greater before I begin to introduce advertising onto the site. I’m increasing the quality content of my site daily and I am at the top of the first page of listings for ‘Poetrystuff’ listings but I want to achieve the same under ‘Poetry’ listings. Help please? I have already taken ‘Poetrystuff’ out of the page title and put in ‘Poetry for everyone’ instead , but this has not achieved the desired result. Is it that the change in listing will occur in time or am I being too impatient? I see that many other sites have achieved exactly what I want to achieve but I’d be very grateful for an authoritative answer on this matter. I am using Yahoo! sitebuilder which I ike very much.
