Social Networking & Site Promotion?
Thinking that one or more of the social networking sites like MySpace or FaceBook might a viable means of promoting one of my websites.
I have no experience with any of them and don’t know which might be most effective or if any would make sense.
The site I want to promote is http://www.CanadianDots.ca and is a forum for the discussion of the .ca Canadian domain name market.
Any suggestions for which social networking site would be best to use and/or guides as to how to go about it would be appreciated.

This website is great for web advertising. It’s a free targeted advertising (based on you selecting various categories you would like to be included in) and link exchange network. You put other websites text ads on your page and yours appears on others. And it really is 100% free, forever. While it’s not something that guarantees traffic it also doesn’t cost anything, so why not try it?

The best guide I have read for using Social Networks for promoting websites (without breaking the rules) is Spacebankers. The author is a college student who paid his way through college doing this. He makes more than many adults with full time jobs. Check out his story below:
