My friend and I run a promotion site and we are going to start interviewing bands..?
What is the best device to use, a digital camera or a camcorder? We want to capture the whole interview, and not have it cut off. Could I use my digital camera and just buy a bigger memory card, or what?

I would use a video camcorder if I were you.
Also, you will also probably want to have some kind of waiver for each band to sign. If they are going to be performing on camera, you don’t want them coming back to you a month from now claiming you ran their video on YouTube without compensating them.
Your waiver should basically explain that the video is to be used solely for purposes of providing clients a sample of your work and will not be used for commercial or broadcast purposes. Each band will probably want a copy of the waiver agreement also.
