how to optimize the home page?
my client’s website’s home page takes about 10 secs to load up. not much graphics, a few images, and 10 js files. is there any way to speed up the loading time? at least to bring it back to 6~7 secs. Any tips and tricks?

Use Firefox, install the FireBug add-on, then the YSlow add-on, it will grade you on certain speed aspects and tell you why.
Most likely it’s the 10 .JS files
