how long can my site be easily searched in google and yahoo after take-off?
my site has taken off for almost 2 and a half month, but our page ranking at major search engines is still 0. I am very upset with this and would like to know why. I wish to get real tips from anyone who like to help. I thank you so much in advance.

You might want to learn the robots.txt config file and also create a good sitemap xml file for searchbot to crawl.
Learn them on the internet, there are many examples available.
Also, try the google Webmaster Tools here http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps
