How do I use SEO for my flash website?
Hey, I am starting up a flash banner and intro business to run alongside a couple of my other businesses. We felt as a company that the best way to show our abilities with flash would be to develop our entire website in flash. Now we’re looking to market (on completion of the website), but… it’s in flash. You can view our site at www.customadconcepts.com. We feel that if we can get our name out there we should be doing great – we’re the cheapest in the market, and offer the same quality.
How can you use SEO in flash? I am also open to other ways of marketing. We’ll subscribe to directories, create a blog/newsletter, find forums etc. Anything you know that can help us out would be great.
ok, so that other types of advertising can I do? I know I have the creativity to blow most everything else out there out of the water – what direction should I take?
I’m interested in viral advertising (youtube-like). Any suggestions?

Well, event though it doesn’t matter much make sure your meta keywords and descriptions are in order. Make sure your links are well built between pages, and that there are text links as well as the image/flash links. It may also be helpful to create a non-flash version(which is wise anyway), and link to that in text form in a footer or something. If you use any standalone images make sure they have descriptive alt tags, and make sure all your href links have descriptive title tags.
Honestly SEO is difficult for a flash site, and your area of business is gonna get swamped on the net anyway. You’d be much better off focusing your energy on other methods of marketting rather than try to beat out other flash sites in google’s ranking. If you still have your heart set on it, it may be in your best interest to create either a "non-flash" alternative that visitors can go to, or create a "hybrid" site that showcases a lot of flash, but with information in normal HTML tags as well as an HTML layout.
Hope I helped!

flash will be hard to become search engine friendly as there is no text for it to be spidered, just script.
your meta tags will be the only importance, so you may want to research your keywords for your site
if your site is not fully flash – apply text and good HTML paramaters on your page, most search engine spiders the source of your page the the visual page itself, so scripts really do not work well with SE

Although flash looks great, it can’t be read by the web crawlers. Flash websites are for those that don’t need extra traffic and use it purely for current clientèle to browse around.
I’m going to have to be the bearer of bad news and say that as long as you have Flash you’ll probably never reach top rankings on the major search engines.
I did a backlink search of your site on Google, MSN, Yahoo and Alexa. I only found one link… You will need many more backlinks to improve your link popularity but still I don’t think this will help much if your site doesn’t have a good keyword density.
I have taken the liberty to do an analysis of your site. Email me at info@webgrowth.co.za. I will then email you the report so you can see for yourself how your website compares to your competitors.
