How do I remove an item from a search engine query?
About a year ago, I was involved in a DWI incident that made the local papers. Subsequently, I was found not responsible and all charges were dropped. However, the newspaper story remains the 4th result when my name is searched in Yahoo!, Google, or any other search engine. I fear that this is scaring prospective employers and others. Is there a way to expunge this from search listings?

Not really. You would have to call every newspaper and ask them to remove it from their archives and then, if that worked, wait another 6-8 weeks for the article to be removed from the search engines caches.
Alternately, you could attempt to create other webpages with your name and have them come up before those articles.
