Does anyone have stats, or know how many people start up websites with the view of making money from them… only to find that their websites fail…?

No one visits their site…
It doesnt appear in the search engine listings…
and before long is resigned to the webstie graveyard (where ever that may be)… and no money was ever made from the venture.
