The best ways to build PageRank are all free. freewebs gives you very little control over your meta tags, but this is not the way to build PageRank anyway.

You have to acquire backlinks to your site. If you want high PageRank then there is a "professional" reason behind it.

You're gonna have to spend at least a dime to get your own domain name. You can gain PageRank for a subdomain, but in the future you're going to realize you wasted alot of time on promoting it. Get a domain name before building links.

To increase PR: write articles, press releases, do link exchanges, forum marketing, comment marketing, write good content that people will want to link to...

As far as your site goes, I think you potentially have a great idea here. But you're going to want to create a brand in the beginning. Buy a domain name, create your site on a better platform... you'll thank me in a year.

Google ranks things not just based on how many people are going to your site, but by how many people are linking to your site. They figure, if a bunch of people think your site important enough to link to, then, it's important to people looking to link to it. That being said, try to add a few things to the header, namely Meta Tags. I'm not sure how you ar ebuilding it or if you have access to the html, but if you do, add this in between the two header tags:

<META name="keywords" content="aaaaa,aaaaa,aaaa">

<META name="description" content="aaaa.">

In the keyword one, put in a bunch of words that are associated with that PAGE (not the whole site, Google gives less preference to pages that use the same keywords on every page) separate them out with a comma (like where all the aaaaaa's are, just take out the aaaaaa's and replace with your words.) Don't do more than 5-10 words.

For the Description, put in a description of what that page is about. Keep it short and simple.

Other things you can do are to add alt tags to all your images. Inside the img tag, after the file name, put:

alt=aaaaaa

replace the aaaaa's with a quick description of the image. That way, google can read what the picture is about.

Make sure you put a different Meta keyword and description tag on every page. That should help.
