Does putting privacy policy is important in SEO?
I just wanna ask that is it necessary to put privacy policy from SEO point of view? Someone said that Google might see your privacy policy page…..
I am not in favor of it and i think most probably it is false but some SEO say that thing, so i posted here to get some reviews on that

You mean put privacy policy on your own SEO website or put privacy policy on the site your SEOing on?
If you talked about the first one, i would say no really matters, our site dont have it too. (http://www.nanjingmarketinggroup.com)
If you talking about the second one, yes, especially some B2C websites.

you do not need the have your domain details public from SEO point of view but if you would like to get listed in Dmoz there is no way they will accept your site when domain details are protected.

Obviously with no real SEO experts here let me give you the right answer. Of course it is important for your site to have a privacy policy for it.
1. If you are doing email opt-in its very important for can spam compliance issues.
2. If you ever plan on doing google adwords advertising it plays a very important part of your over quality score for your website landing page.
Some examples of why it is important. Look for people who know what really is going on. I see so much bad information floating around here. To many people are one dimensional and it shows in there answers. Also no links to some crap seo service or plug for so many crappy products.
just good info.
