Do you know how to solve the following search engine optimization?
When you go to Yahoo or Google, and search for a keyword you will see the result (a link) with a description.
Example: When you search CNN at Yahoo and Google you will get the following descriptions.
At Yahoo:
CNN
Latest headlines from CNN, the Cable News Network, including World, U.S., politics, business, entertainment, science, weather, and sports news.
www.cnn.com
At Google:
CNN
CNN.com delivers the latest breaking news and information on the latest top stories, weather, business, entertainment, politics, and more.
www.cnn.com
I would like to know how can I add a description of my site like that. Please note that I already try
<meta name="Description" content=" "/>
But I noticed that it does not work perfectly. In others, Google does not recognize this. So, do you know how to fix this?

Not sure what CMS your site uses, mine has Joomla, but it *should* be in your Global Configuration settings….check it, poke around and see what happens.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Google is a search engine and has its own algorithm to rank and list websites in search results. Also we know that google does not consider meta tags, only title tag that you add before meta. But from where does the description comes? Google matches your title tag with the we page content and generates results, not sure but display of description can be controlled by modifying HTML tags, but this requires deep knowledge.
Yahoo is very much meta Dependant and considerss meta description.
