Do people who have a website, or a blog, hire part-time advertising sales people?
Hello! I’m trying to find a part-time job either helping a "family-friendly website", or a popular "family-friendly blog", sell advertising within their website or blog… and first, I’m not sure if such a job exists? And, second, if it does… please tell me if you can, how can I go about applying for it? Also, if think I should check out a specific "job postings website", what do you think are the best "key words" to use when searching? So, perhaps, it might be easier to find this specific type of job?
Thank You!!!

It would depend on the business. Many companies have departments dedicated to marketing and sales. This often includes their website. If you have a background in sales you should definitely consider submitting an application.
Craigslist is a great resource for job postings ( http://www.craigslist.org )
Since they now require a fee to post jobs, many disingenuous listings have been filtered out. I would search in their Marketing/ PR and Sales/ Adverstising sections.
You can also search on Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, or Job.com

I’d say pounding the pavement business to business and offering the service. However, you need to prove to "website" A that you are capable of first finding advertisers for their site and second KEEP that business.
