I have a biz that I need to get advertising for but don’t know how to go about it cheap? Any ideas? (other than Craigslist)

Build inbound links to your website.
Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:

The more inbound links to your site, the better you will rank with Yahoo / Google / MSN.

I’m not sure what kind of business you have, but business owners and Internet marketers can advertise their company, product, or service for free on DirectMatches’ online professional networking service. Go into Google and type in Free Banner Network – many good ones in the first 5 or 6 pages – look for the ones that either give you fre impressions or those with no need to earn impressions, also worth considering is whether they are blocked by Nortons etc, many adware programs check for tracking and cookies so be careful which one you select. At the end of the day their tracking statistics mean shit if people arent seeing your banners.
